The FARM began serving the Birmingham community on Valentine’s Day 2014 under the leadership of co-founders, Dr. Beau Beard and Dr. Sloan Beard. Over the years, they have taken the R2P clinical framework and revolutionized conservative musculoskeletal care in an area of the country lacking this level of evidence inspired healthcare experience. Today, The FARM Team has grown to include 3 additional chiropractic physicians: Dr. Daniel O’Quinn, Dr. Alex Coleman, and Dr. Seth Graham. Other services offered include massage therapy, chronic pain counseling, functional health coaching, gait analysis, and custom orthotics. In January 2023, The FARM expanded to a larger office space adjacent to their sister gym, Farm Haus Fitness, which offers personal training and small group classes aimed at bridging the gap between on-table rehab and sport/daily activity performance.
The FARM has been rooted in R2P even prior to its inception as Dr. Beau Beard held leadership roles in the student organization’s infancy at Logan University, as a founding member of the R2P Board of Directors, and currently serves as an R2P Advisory Board member. Dr. Coleman and Dr. Graham both served as R2P student representatives at Logan University and remain involved conducting case study/special topic presentations for R2P student clubs and attending R2P events/courses. Dr. Coleman serves on the R2P Board of Directors heading the R2P National Student Executive Board (NSEB), a group aimed at fostering relationships and maintaining communication between the R2P clubs at each chiropractic school and the Board of Directors.
Every clinician at The FARM is passionate about expanding their clinical knowledge as well as actively plugging into this R2P community. They are eager to host students for shadowing and preceptorship opportunities as they recognize how important this is in shaping their future clinical practice. Furthermore, they are in constant communication with colleagues across the country discussing cases, clinical operations, and more. Not to mention, they love a good seminar weekend reunion with these lifelong friends. If you are looking for a like-minded, ever-growing, community-driven group of practitioners to connect with, look no further than The FARM.
